Product description
The YB/3000 Series Proximity Probes, manufactured by Yekan, are designed as a direct and reliable replacement for the discontinued Bently Nevada 3000 Series probes. Users can easily match the exact part number through the product datasheet before placing an order.
Function & Operating Principle
A proximity probe is a key component of a proximity measurement system (displacement sensor system). The 0.3-inch (8 mm) YB/3000 probes utilize an eddy current coil located at the probe tip. When energized by the transducer, this coil generates a magnetic field. As the distance to the target surface changes, the magnetic field is strengthened or weakened, and the transducer produces a corresponding output voltage. This allows accurate non-contact vibration and displacement measurement on rotating machinery.
Available Lengths & Construction
Yekan provides YB/3000 proximity probes in 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, and 36-inch lengths, available in both armored and non-armored versions.
-
The probe body and armor are manufactured from stainless steel, offering excellent durability and resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and mechanical impact.
-
The armored version provides enhanced protection in harsh industrial environments.
Compatibility
The YB/3000 metric probes are fully compatible with:
-
Bently Nevada 3000 Series extension cables
-
Bently Nevada 3000 Series transducers
They operate as a complete drop-in replacement, offering equivalent performance at a more cost-effective price. Since the original Bently Nevada 3000 Series has been discontinued for many years, Yekan’s YB/3000 probes are considered one of the best available alternatives.
